William Dawson Peace Cup: Kelly Street beat Sandhill Warriors 3-2

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Kelly Street got past Sandhill Warriors 3-2 Loyola in the second game of the William Dawson Peace Cup on Saturday at the MCC Grounds in Belize City.

Kelly Street scored three early goals and were able to sustain the lead despite a late surge by Sandhill.

Misael Muñoz opened the hostilities in the sixth minute to put Kelly Street ahead but Ian Revolorio levelled the score in the 10th minute.

Kelly Street responded effectively going ahead 2-1 in the 22^nd off a goal by Lemar White and increased the lead to 3-1 in the 30^th minute.

Late in the game, the Sandhill Warriors got within distance as Revolorio completed his brace in the 84^th minute but Kelly Street prevailed with a 3-2 victory.

Despite the loss, Sandhill’s Revolorio was named Man of the Match.

Kelly Street moved up to 14 points but remain in the ninth position ahead of last place Sandhill Warriors who only have five points.
