By Horace Palacio: The family of 19-year-old Asad Darwin Rodriguez is desperately seeking information on his whereabouts after he failed to return home from work in San Roman Village, Southern Belize.
Rodriguez, who left his job early after struggling to adjust, was last seen on Friday, March 7, 2025, after 8 AM when he was supposed to take a bus heading towards Belmopan and San Ignacio. However, his mother, Sharon, has raised concerns as he never arrived home and has not been heard from since.
According to the family, Rodriguez was traveling alone without a phone. He was last seen wearing a black sweat suit with a hoodie and slippers and carrying two luggage bags—one red and black, and a grey school bag.
His mother shared a heartfelt plea on social media, urging anyone who may have seen her son or traveled along the Independence Village route around that time to reach out.
“All I want is for my son to come home safely,” she wrote, alongside a recent photo of Rodriguez.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call 631-7112 immediately.
