Wheelie stunt lands young motorcyclist in trouble with police

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 19-year-old motorcyclist is facing legal action after being caught performing a dangerous stunt on Pasadita Street in Orange Walk Town.

Reports indicate that around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, a police officer on duty observed the rider accelerating before lifting the front of his motorcycle in a wheelie.

The officer, who was only a short distance away, immediately approached the rider and identified himself.

The rider was informed that he had committed the offence of reckless driving, cautioned, and read his constitutional rights.

Police conducted checks and confirmed that the rider held a valid driver’s license, and the motorcycle was properly licensed and insured.

Despite having proper documents, the dangerous stunt prompted police action.
