By Breaking Belize News Staff: Moist and unstable weather conditions continue to affect the country, bringing a fresh round of rainfall to several regions today. According to the National Meteorological Service, mostly cloudy skies are forecast across Belize, with scattered showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms expected throughout the day. Northern and central areas are likely to experience the most significant rainfall activity.
The general public is advised to plan for wet conditions, especially in the afternoon and evening hours. While these showers may bring temporary relief from the heat, they could also lead to localized flooding in low-lying and flood-prone communities.
Marine conditions will be choppy to rough, with east to southeast winds blowing at 10 to 20 knots and becoming gusty. Wave heights are expected to reach 5 to 7 feet. A small craft caution is in effect, and boat operators are strongly urged to navigate with care.
The forecast for Friday suggests that showers and isolated thunderstorms will persist, particularly over central and northern Belize. The tropical weather outlook remains stable, with no cyclone formation expected over the next 48 hours.
The National Meteorological Service encourages residents to remain alert and monitor official updates as conditions may rapidly change depending on storm activity and localized convection.
