By Aaron Humes: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) is giving a shoutout to its team of linesmen deployed on January 4 to Jamaica, to assist the Jamaica Public Service Company and others in restoring power to areas affected by Hurricane Melissa last October.

It is ‘mission accomplished’ as the group returned home this week.

They are led by Jeremy Jex, Power Line Supervisor, and include Power Line Technicians Gregory Kerr, Brian Gentle, Emry Gill, Owen Nolberto, Paul McCalla, and Andres Catch.

BEL is obligated to assist the regional grouping Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC) in times of disasters with support for restoration of public utilities.
