By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Two games will take place on Saturday, March 29, at People’s Stadium in Orange Walk as Week 4 of the OWFA 2024-2025 1st Division Closing Championship gets underway.
At 7:30 pm, Guinea Grass FC from Group B will face the group leaders, San Jose Pumas FC. San Jose Pumas currently top the group with 9 points, having won all three of their matches, scoring 8 goals and conceding just 1. Guinea Grass, ranked fourth with 3 points, will be eager to improve their position and challenge the in-form Pumas.
Later, at 9:30 pm, Group A leaders Progresso FC, who remain undefeated with 9 points from three matches, will go head-to-head with LA Tigers FC. The Tigers are at the bottom of Group A and are yet to secure a win in this tournament. Progresso will look to extend their dominance, while LA Tigers aim to salvage their campaign with a surprise result.
Both matches promise high stakes as the teams battle for crucial points.
Sunday features four more matches: Mi Gente FC taking on August Pine Ridge Central FC at 11:00 am, Sandy Field Wolverines FC against San Estevan Soccer Team FC at 1:00 pm, Yo Creek United FC facing Crystal FC at 3:00pm, and TF Legends FC tackling San Jose FC at 5:00 pm.
