The video in question purports to show Lord Ashcroft discussing cryptocurrency schemes and promising exorbitant investment returns, but the content has been confirmed as digitally manipulated and entirely fabricated.
Lord Ashcroft through solicitors Marine Parade Chambers denies participating in any such interview, nor did he make any of the claims attributed to him in the misleading video. “This false portrayal appears to be part of a larger online scam intended to mislead viewers and exploit Lord Ashcroft’s respected name for fraudulent activities,” an official statement issued today to media houses remarks.
Members of the public are urged to “exercise extreme caution when encountering unsolicited financial advice or investment opportunities, especially those that misuse the identities of prominent figures.” The Office of Lord Ashcroft emphasizes that any legitimate communications or statements will only be made through official and verifiable channels.
