By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can look forward to a warm and comfortable Monday, with sunny skies and occasional cloudy intervals throughout the day. The Belize Meteorological Service reports that a few showers will develop in some areas during the daytime, though these will become more isolated by tonight.
With easterly winds blowing at 10-15 knots, the sea state remains choppy, with waves between 3-5 feet. Boaters and fishermen should remain cautious, especially in offshore waters, where gusty conditions may develop at times.
Temperatures will reach 84°F (29°C) along the coast, 88°F (31°C) inland, and 76°F (24°C) in the hills. By nightfall, temperatures will cool to 77°F (25°C) along the coast, 72°F (22°C) inland, and 65°F (18°C) in hilly regions.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, generally fair conditions will prevail, with only isolated showers expected.
For those monitoring the tides, low tide occurred at 6:55 AM, followed by high tide at 12:39 PM. Another low tide is expected at 7:42 PM, with high tide returning at 1:25 AM on Tuesday. The sun rose at 6:18 AM and will set at 5:55 PM, while the moon will rise at 10:13 PM after setting at 9:16 AM.
