Posted: Thursday, October 23, 2025. 6:24 am CST.

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A moist and slightly unstable northeasterly airflow continues to influence weather conditions across the country today.

The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with some cloudy intervals for Thursday, while a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, especially offshore and along the central and southern coast this morning and again tonight.

During the afternoon and evening, showers will drift inland, with brief downpours possible in some areas.

Winds will blow from the north to northeast at 5 to 15 knots, producing light chop to choppy seas with waves between 2 and 5 feet.

Temperatures will peak near 91°F inland, 87°F along the coast, and 81°F in the hills. The forecast for Friday calls for similar weather conditions.

The National Met Service continues to monitor Tropical Storm Melissa, located southeast of Jamaica, though the system poses no threat to Belize.
