By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect mostly sunny and warm weather today, according to the National Meteorological Service, as a slightly moist northeasterly airflow prevails.
A few isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible, particularly over coastal and offshore areas, but most areas will remain generally fair.
Marine conditions will see north to northeast winds at 5–15 knots, seas will be choppy to moderate, and waves will range from 3 to 6 feet.
Daytime highs will reach around 91°F inland, 87°F along the coast, and 81°F in the hills. Temperatures tonight will dip to 77°F on the coast, 72°F inland, and 67°F in the hills.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Melissa, currently stationary near latitude 16.0N and longitude 75.5W, continues to be monitored closely by forecasters. The system does not pose a threat to Belize, but the NMS will keep watch as it remains over the Caribbean Sea.
The forecast remains stable heading into the weekend with similar weather expected through Saturday night.
