By Rubén Morales Iglesias: A cool evening settled over the FFB Stadium in Belmopan last night as Wagiya SC hosted a 6 pm friendly against visiting Cancún side FC Toros. Though it was a preseason warm‑up, Wagiya approached the match with full focus, discipline, and intensity.
The home side created several opportunities throughout the game, keeping steady pressure on the Toros’ back line. One of the closest moments came when a powerful effort struck the crossbar, drawing a loud reaction from the fans in Belmopan.
Wagiya’s persistence paid off with three goals on the night. Jean Serano, Jonard Castillo, and Jahmal Chaplin each found the back of the net, giving the Dangriga-based club complete control of the match and showcasing the team’s depth as preparations continue.
When the final whistle sounded, the scoreboard told the story clearly:
Wagiya SC 3 – FC Toros (Cancún) 0
A friendly on paper, but a confident, composed, and encouraging performance from Wagiya SC.
