Village fight turns bloody with blade attack

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 21-year-old woman has been arrested and charged following a violent altercation in Trial Farm Village that left another woman injured.

Police report that the incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, on Pineapple Street.

According to reports, two sisters were moving a brown four-legged table when a male individual allegedly extended his leg, causing one of the women to fall.

The situation quickly escalated when another woman reportedly began punching the victim multiple times in the stomach. During the altercation, a pocketknife was allegedly handed over with instructions to use it.

Although the knife was reportedly not opened, the victim was struck in the forehead with it.

The confrontation intensified as others became involved, with additional physical blows exchanged before family members intervened.

Police recorded statements and issued a medico-legal form. A doctor later classified the injuries as harm.

One woman was detained and, on February 24, was formally arrested and charged for the offense of harm. Investigations continue.
