By Zoila Palma: Today, vibrant parades filled the main streets in towns across Belize to mark the start of Child Stimulation Month 2026.
During Child Stimulation Month 2026, early childhood educators and parents plan educational trips, interactive sessions and awareness sessions for students.
Some activities include visits to the Police Station, the Fire Department as well as visits from health officials as students learn about community workers.
This year’s Child Stimulation Month is celebrated under the theme “Early Childhood Education: Start Strong.”
Educators, parents and students flooded the streets with many students dressed as their favorite community worker, among them, the future Commissioner of Police, Magistrates, teachers, nurses and doctors.
