By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Valvoline’s Oscar Quiroz emerged victorious in the Annual TV (Thomas Vincent) Ramos Cycling Classic 2024, organized by the Dangriga Cycling Association and the National Garifuna Council on Garifuna Settlement Day (Tuesday, November 19) along the Hummingbird Highway.

Quiroz managed to break away from Carlton Robinson (second place) and Shawn Trapp (third place) just a few hundred yards from the finish line in front of K’s Bar in Dangriga, where the 66-mile race had started. Quiroz, Trapp, and Fernando Rosado initially broke away early in the race, which began in Dangriga and extended to Mile 34 on the Hummingbird Highway. Robinson was able to bridge the gap, and Rosado got dropped.

Rosado ultimately finished in fourth position.
