By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizeans are being called to action as an urgent blood donation appeal has been issued for Pastoriano Sho, a patient at Southern Regional Hospital in Dangriga.
A report from Island Donors Squad said Sho requires 12 pints of any blood type this week, as his medical needs have increased significantly. The appeal emphasizes the critical importance of blood donors in ensuring he receives the life-saving transfusions required.
The Island Donors Squad (IDS), in partnership with the Sozo Foundation Belize and other project partners, is spearheading the campaign to strengthen blood donations across the country. Their efforts aim to mobilize donors nationwide to contribute toward Sho’s recovery.
Those willing to donate can also reach out via Facebook Messenger to the IDS or email idsbelize@gmail.com for further instructions. For questions, individuals may call 672-0547.
This plea is more than just a request—it is an opportunity for the Belizean community to rally in support of a fellow citizen in dire need. Blood donations can save lives, and each pint given is a crucial step toward Sho’s recovery. Belizeans are encouraged to pull up their sleeves and donate today.
