By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The National Meteorological Service of Belize is forecasting relatively moist and unstable conditions over the country today, Sunday, November 9, 2025. These conditions are expected to bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly over coastal and northern areas.
Throughout the day, Belizeans can expect sunny intervals mixed with cloudy skies, followed by increasing cloudiness tonight. According to Forecaster Tareek Matthews, shower and thunderstorm activity will become more widespread overnight, especially in coastal and offshore regions.
At sea, winds will blow from the east to northeast at 5–15 knots, producing slight to light chop sea conditions, with wave heights between 1 and 4 feet.
Temperature highs are forecasted at 86°F (30°C) along the coast, 89°F (32°C) inland, and 81°F (27°C) in the hills. Lows tonight will dip to 77°F (25°C) along the coast and 70°F (21°C) inland.
The public is advised to remain alert for localized downpours and brief thunderstorms, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
