In a Facebook post, the Belizean said the country has done a lackluster job marketing Punta Gorda as a go to tourist destination.
The writer acknowledged that some work has been done but said it is clearly not enough, calling for far more aggressive and persistent marketing strategies.
According to the post, the nightly news carries no commercials, advertisements or promotional content about Punta Gorda. The only stories that make it to air about PG, the writer said, are about crime or traffic accidents.
“That’s how aggressive we need to be. UNRELENTING!!!” the post concluded.
