University of Belize hosts certification ceremony for Institute of Finance and Banking

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On May 16, 2024, the University of Belize held a certification ceremony to award the cohort from the UB Institute of Banking and Finance (UB-IBF).

The 21 awardees received their completion certificates.

Five awardees received their certification in “Cyber Security” while 16 awardees received certification in “Regulatory AntiMoney Laundering and Financial Crime Prevention”.

Stephanie Windsor was recognized as the top professional in the Cybersecurity Cohort, while Sharlene Jones stood out as the top professional in the Regulatory AMLCFT Cohort.

In attendance was Michelle Martin, Chairlady and CEO of ComplianceAid and AMLFC Institute as the guest speaker and honorary guest, Claude Haylock, Director General, Financial Services Commission of Belize.
