By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Universal Hardware, one of Verdes’ sponsors, has reaffirmed its commitment to Verdes FC, continuing its sponsorship as the Premier League of Belize champions prepare to compete in the Concacaf Central American Cup this July and August. Having joined forces with the team last year, Universal Hardware is continuing their backing of the Green Machine as they take on top regional clubs in pursuit of international success.

Universal Hardware is calling on football supporters to rally behind Verdes FC and create a strong home-field atmosphere.

“Universal Hardware is proud to support Verdes FC as they take the field in the Concacaf Central American Cup — right here at home!” the company said in a social media post.

The announcement follows a rallying call from Verdes FC, who took to social media to express their excitement for the tournament.

“Our Concacaf Central American Cup journey begins, Verdes FC is ready to represent Belize on the big stage! Two massive matchups. Two chances to make history,” Verdes said.

The competition will bring FC Motagua (Honduras) and Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica) to FFB Stadium in Belmopan, giving local fans a chance to experience high-level international football. Verdes will face Motagua on Tuesday, July 29, followed by a match against Saprissa on Tuesday, August 5, with both games kicking off at 6:00 pm. In addition to these home fixtures, Verdes will also take on Club Sport Cartaginés (Costa Rica) and Club Atlético Independiente (Panama) in the tournament.

With continued sponsorship and passionate fan support, Verdes FC are ready to compete at the highest level. The tournament promises exciting matchups, and the national champions are eager to make a strong impression on the international stage against the Central American powerhouse clubs.
