This discussion encompassed pressing global challenges, including the UN80 initiative and the urgent issue of climate change, which continues to threaten small island nations.
During the meeting, the leaders emphasized the implementation of the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for Small Island Developing States (ABAS), which aims to address the unique challenges faced by these nations, particularly in light of rising sea levels and environmental sustainability.
Additionally, they exchanged insights on recent regional developments, particularly the ongoing situation in Haiti, highlighting the importance of regional collaboration and support for stability in the Caribbean.
The Prime Minister addressed the General Assembly earlier today.
