United Evergreen Primary receives renovated cafeteria courtesy Community Policing program and National Bank of Belize 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On January 17, 2024, the National Community Policing Unit in partnership with the National Bank of Belize handed over a fully renovated cafeteria to the principal of United Evergreen Primary.

 This building will be used for the school’s feeding program.

Commander of Community Policing, Howell Gillett says that these initiatives foster a positive relationship between law enforcement and the community, showing our commitment to the well-being of children.

In addition, students now have a space for meals, fostering a conducive environment for social interaction and nourishment. 

“Additionally, it promotes healthy eating habits, enhances overall well-being, and supports a well-balanced diet,” Gillett added.

“By supporting educational initiatives, law enforcement may indirectly contribute to reducing future crime rates by providing students with better opportunities,” Gillett expressed.

Gillett says that the police and the community continue to work together to make a brighter future for our children.
