By Zoila Palma: On March 3, 2026, Regional Director Benes met with Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, to discuss strengthening collaboration and accelerating progress for Belize’s children.
UNICEF Belize continuously work with the Belize Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade to achieve national goals and advance the child rights agenda across sectors.
Also present in the meeting were CEO Amalia Mai and Ambassador Ayesha Borland, Director of International Affairs, Sajid Ali, Acting Representative for UNICEF Belize and Programme Coordinator, Enkhnasan Nasan-Ulzii, represented for UNICEF Belize.
“Together, we are committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive,” UNICEF noted.
