UNDP Belize, Belize Enterprise for Sustainable Technology and Ministry of Agriculture empower farmers in Succotz

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On May 13, 2024, UNDP inBelize, ClimatePromise2, Belize Enterprise for Sustainable Technology, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise through the Department of Co-operatives joined forces in providing essential support to the Cayo Rural Alliance Farmers Pre-Co-operative of Succotz.

The Agriculture stakeholders provided equipment including meat grinder, band saw, power washer, and freezers for the processing of sheep and goat meat.

“Empowering farmers with the tools and resources needed to thrive in the face of #ClimateChange,” UNDP noted.

The members of the alliance shared how the equipment enhanced their efficiency in processing, packaging and storing the meat.
