By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has welcomed new standard bearers for Caribbean Shores, Port Loyola and Freetown.
“Congratulations to Dr. Nelma Jones for Caribbean Shores, Dr. Abraham Flowers for Freetown and Anthony Martinez (JP) for Port Loyola,” the UDP said in a statement.
While the party is intent in moving forward and prepare for the upcoming general elections with Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow as the party leader, Albert’s Area Representative Tracy Taegar-Panton continues to lead a group called the “Alliance for Democracy”. The Alliance has indicated that they “will take whatever actions necessary to force…compliance with the party’s constitution.” In addition, Taegar-Panton has indicated that they are looking at taking legal action if it becomes necessary.
