By Breaking Belize News Staff: The United Democratic Party is mourning the sudden passing of Evalee Skeen Engleton, who served as the party’s Assistant Secretary General and was a long-standing figure within the UDP Secretariat.
Skeen-Engleton was known for her years of work in party administration, having served the UDP in various capacities over more than a decade. She was also briefly named Secretary General of the party in 2023.
Outside of politics, Skeen-Engleton was involved in other areas of national life. She was listed as a member of the Miss Universe Belize Committee in 2022 and was also associated professionally with the Anglican Diocese of Belize.
News of her passing has sparked tributes from friends, colleagues, and members of the political community, many remembering her for her commitment, service, and presence within the UDP.
Details surrounding the circumstances of her death and funeral arrangements have not yet been publicly released.
The UDP extended condolences to her family, friends, and all those affected by her passing.
