By Aaron Humes: Tracy Taegar-Panton, the Leader of the Opposition and head of the United Democratic Party (UDP), announced the recommendations of her appointments to the Election and Boundaries Commission (EBC).
The appointments, ratified during the Senate’s sitting on Friday, confirmed former Senators Juliet Thimbriel and Aldo Salazar, both seasoned figures in the political arena, to serve as the Opposition’s representatives on the EBC for the next two years.
In addition to the EBC appointments, Panton confirmed the recommendation to the Prime Minister of the re-appointment of legal counsels Jaraad Ysaguirre and Payal Ghanwani to the Integrity Commission. The details of these appointments have been submitted to the Integrity Commission’s Secretariat.
