By Horace Palacio: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has officially announced that Gladys Paredez is no longer a candidate for the upcoming General Elections. In a press release issued on February 15, 2025, the party stated that, as of February 10, 2025, Paredez is no longer affiliated with the UDP’s electoral slate.
The UDP did not provide details regarding the reason for Paredez’s removal but confirmed that she will not represent the party in the upcoming elections. The decision comes at a crucial time as political parties gear up for election day on March 12, 2025.
The announcement leaves questions about who will replace Paredez in the constituency she was set to contest. The UDP has directed inquiries to its Secretary General for further information.
