By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s 20‑man strong Under‑17 Men’s National Team are now in Guatemala, settled and ready to represent the country at the 2026 Concacaf U17 Qualifiers. The Football Federation of Belize have officially confirmed the squad, a group that blends promising young talent with one standout figure who brings rare senior‑level experience: Marlon Meza, the Mount Pleasant midfielder who is currently studying and playing in Jamaica and who has already earned selection to the A‑level Belize Men’s National Team.

Meza’s presence gives the U17s a seasoned anchor in midfield. Having trained and competed in a professional environment abroad while balancing academic commitments, he arrives as the most experienced player in the squad and a natural guide for the younger members of the team.

The FFB said the roster reflects months of discipline, commitment, and development, and extended gratitude to the clubs, schools, coaches, and families who have supported the players’ growth throughout their journey.
