Belize enter the game after two tough results: a 7–0 loss to hosts Nicaragua on Friday and a 2–1 defeat to Guatemala on Sunday, when Christel Tzul scored to briefly level the match. Despite the setbacks, the young side have shown resilience and determination, and today’s clash offers one last chance to measure themselves against regional opposition.
El Salvador, meanwhile, have been the standout team so far. They edged Guatemala 1–0 on Friday and then defeated Nicaragua 3–2 on Sunday, making them unbeaten heading into today’s encounter. For Belize, this represents their biggest test yet in the tournament.
