By Aaron Humes: A team of eight surgeons from the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Joint Task Force-Bravo recently completed a medical readiness mission at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan. During their week-long stay, the team performed 15 surgeries and collaborated with local medical professionals.
The mission aimed to build relationships between the American surgical team and local doctors, nurses, and technicians. By working together, they exchanged best practices and enhanced their skills. The team consisted of experienced medical professionals who brought their expertise to the table, providing valuable support to the community.
The U.S. Embassy in Belize praised the team’s commitment to supporting the country and strengthening the partnership between the U.S. and Belize. This medical readiness mission demonstrates the ongoing collaboration between the two nations and highlights the importance of healthcare cooperation.
