U.S. Special Advisor Christopher Dodd visits Belize to strengthen economic and democratic relations

This visit is part of the United States’ ongoing efforts to bolster relations and reaffirm commitments in the Western Hemisphere, according to information obtained from the U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica.

In Belize, SPA Dodd is scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister John Briceño and Foreign Minister Francis Fonseca, alongside meetings with key figures in the business community. Additionally, SPA Dodd will lay the groundwork for the 2025 Summit, set to be hosted in Costa Rica, which is anticipated to be a pivotal event in shaping the region’s economic and political future.

This diplomatic initiative by SPA Dodd is seen as a strategic move to enhance the United States’ influence and partnership in Central America, a region of growing importance in terms of geopolitics and global economics.
