By Zoila Palma: A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft landed this week, delivering vital school supplies, medical equipment, and a brand-new fire truck for the Belize National Fire Service in Punta Gorda.
The humanitarian cargo was donated by the Racine Founder’s Rotary Foundation and transported through the U.S. Department of Defense’s DENTON program, which supports the delivery of humanitarian aid worldwide.
The aircraft, operated by the 445th Airlift Wing out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, completed the mission in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Belize.
