By Zoila Palma:  The United States Embassy in Belize has donated vehicles and equipment valued at nearly US $100,000 to support the Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries in Belize.

The donation aims to bolster Belize’s forensic services and enhance border security efforts.

The National Forensic and Science Service will receive test kits, cameras, and first responder tools to improve forensic investigations across the country.

Meanwhile, the Belize Police Department will utilize two vehicles, cameras, and tactical gear—including tourniquets and binoculars—to strengthen drug and smuggling interdiction along Belize’s borders.

This contribution is part of the ongoing partnership between the U.S. Government and Belize to promote regional safety, secure borders, and advance criminal investigation capabilities.
