By Zoila Palma: Today, the U.S. Embassy in Belize announced the donation of a containerized medical clinic worth nearly US$150,000.
“This U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) donation will provide the Ministry of Health & Wellness with a primary care clinic that will bring essential health services closer to communities, encouraging healthy behaviors and early intervention,” the U.S. Embassy noted.
“Together we are improving the healthcare system in Belize and providing care to those in need,” the embassy added.
