By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On September 3, 2024, U.S. Ambassador Michelle Kwan warmly welcomed Alice Albright, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), to Belize.
During her visit, Albright has engaged with various teams from the Ministry of Education, as well as the Ministry of Public Utilities and Energy.
Her schedule includes additional meetings with key government officials, leaders in education, business representatives, students, and other stakeholders.
The purpose of CEO Albright’s visit is to discuss the impact of MCC’s $125 million grant, which is aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and paving the way for more affordable energy solutions in Belize.
