By Aaron Humes: A shooting occurred this evening near Horizon Academy on the Philip Goldson Highway in City, leaving two individuals reportedly injured.
Eyewitnesses noted a barrage of gunfire, estimating between 15 to 30 shots were fired during the incident.
The victims have been identified as members of the Belize Defense Force (BDF). Glenford Reed, 36, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg, while Joshua Augustine, 28, suffered a graze wound to his stomach. Both individuals have been transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) and are currently reported to be in stable condition.
Police are actively investigating the event, hoping to determine a motive and identify any suspects involved.
