By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Eight months before Belizeans head to the polls for municipal elections, the United Democratic Party is down two senior executives.
Juliet Thimbriel resigned as national campaign manager late last week, saying there are no hard feelings.
According to 7 News, sources indicated she had not been consulted by Party Chairlady Sheena Pitts on the vetting of candidates for the municipal race.
Thimbriel returns to Wave Radio and TV this Friday.
Audrey Wallace, who chaired the public relations committee, has also resigned. Reports say the party has struggled to find funds for advertising.
The timing is difficult. Candidates are still being selected and the campaign machinery is only now being assembled.
The UDP holds a press conference today.
What do you make of the timing?
