By Aaron Humes: Last Wednesday night, 18-year-old Gevin Armstrong was stabbed at the Island Breeze Bar and Grill, prompting a police investigation. Two men have since been detained in connection with the incident.
Witnesses report that while Armstrong was socializing, he was approached by an unknown assailant who inflicted a serious injury before fleeing the scene. Armstrong was quickly transported to the Southern Regional Hospital for treatment.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Stacy Smith confirmed that one of the detained suspects has been charged with attempted murder and is set to appear before the Dangriga Magistrate’s Court.
Updates from the hospital indicate that Armstrong has been released as he recovers from his injuries. The investigation continues as police seek to gather additional information regarding the motive behind the attack.
