By Aaron Humes: According to police, on Tuesday, March 24 about 10:00 a.m., a joint operation was conducted and a search warrant was executed at a home on Handy Side Street, Belize City.
The search was conducted in the presence of two occupants, during which police discovered a green plastic bag containing eight packages of cannabis amounting to 17 pounds, along with a .22 revolver found inside a PVC pipe along with three .22 live rounds of ammunition.
The occupants have since been detained pending charges for possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another and keeping firearm and ammunition without a gun license.
