By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have formally arrested and charged two persons in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Isiah Noralez in Dangriga.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, police arrested and charged 25-year-old Naheem Bonilla, a Belizean welder of Dangriga Town, and a 17-year-old male minor, also of Dangriga Town. Both have been jointly charged with the crime of murder.
The charges follow the fatal shooting of Noralez, who was killed on Sunday morning in the Benguche area of Dangriga. Police had reported that around 5:00 a.m., Noralez was riding a bicycle alone when two men on a motorcycle approached him. One of the men reportedly fired shots, causing his fatal injuries.
Police had also indicated that Noralez was not known to them and that investigators were looking into a possible prior dispute as part of the investigation.
The two accused are expected to be arraigned in court on the murder charge.
