By Zoila Palma: The Belize Enterprise Empowerment Project (BEEP) has officially approved funding for 22 innovative MSMEs under its Startup Cohort 2—marking another major step toward inclusive economic growth and opportunity.
On July 7, 2026, Beltraide announced that the recipients were selected through a competitive pitch process and granted the funding.
“These entrepreneurs represent the future of Belize’s business landscape, spanning industries like Creative Industries, Agriculture, Tourism, Agro-Processing, and more. Notably, 68% of this cohort is women-led, highlighting a strong commitment to empowering women in business,” Beltraide said.
Each MSME will receive $5,000 in seed funding, totaling $110,000 in support to help strengthen operations, expand into new markets, and accelerate growth.
Beltraide said that with continued support from the CARICOM Development Fund and key partners, BEEP is investing in more than just businesses—it’s investing in innovation, job creation, and a stronger, more resilient Belizean economy.
