The Belize District Football Association (BDFA) 1st Division Tournament is beginning to take shape after two weeks of action, and the early standings reveal a competitive field with several teams already staking their claim as title contenders. With Week 3 set for Sunday at the Marion Jones Sports Complex, every point now carries extra weight.
Tut Bay and Kelly Street Perfect After Two Rounds
Tut Bay FC and Kelly Street FC sit jointly at the top of the table with six points each, both boasting perfect 2–0 records.
- Tut Bay have combined defensive discipline with sharp finishing, scoring 5 goals and conceding just 1 for a +4 goal difference.
- Kelly Street, meanwhile, have been the most explosive in attack among the leaders, netting 6 goals in two outings.
Both sides enter Week 3 with momentum and confidence as they look to maintain their flawless starts.
CRFC Close Behind
In third place, CRFC remain unbeaten with 4 points from a win and a draw. Their +5 goal difference—powered by 7 goals scored—is the best in the league so far, signaling a team capable of challenging the frontrunners.
Leaders of Tomorrow Make Strong Debut
After playing only one match, Leaders of Tomorrow sit fourth with 3 points, thanks to their convincing 3–1 victory in Week 2. With a game in hand on the top three, they could climb quickly with another strong performance this weekend.
Mid‑Table Mix: Belize United, Reggae Boyz, Ladyville Wolves
- Belize United and Reggae Boyz FC both have 1 point from their opening draws.
- Ladyville Wolves, with two matches played, also sit on 1 point, but their -5 goal difference leaves them needing a turnaround.
All three teams remain within reach of the top half but must start converting draws into wins.
Teams Seeking a Breakthrough
The bottom of the table features three teams still searching for their first points:
- Grave Yard FC (8th)
- Lake I FC (9th)
- 13 Miles Elite (10th)
Each has shown flashes of potential, but defensive lapses have cost them early. With the season still young, a single win could dramatically shift their fortunes.
As the tournament heads into Week 3, the standings reflect a league full of ambition and tightly contested battles. With five matches scheduled for Sunday, fans can expect more movement on the table—and possibly a new leader—by the end of the weekend.
