By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Türkiye earned their first three points by beating Georgia 3-1 at the BV Stadion Dortmund in Dortmund, Germany on Day 4 of the UEFA European Championship (EURO2024).

Mert Müldür opened the scoring in the 25′ to put Türkiye ahead 1-0. Their lead was short-lived as Czechia drew even in the 32nd on a goal by Georges Mikautadze. However, Türkiye settled down and hammered two in the second half courtesy of Arda Güler (65’) and Kerem Aktürkoğlu (90’+7) to seal the 3-1 victory.

Türkiye lead Group F with three points.

Czechia and Portugal are playing the final game of the day on Tuesday afternoon. After that game all countries will have played one game in the competition.

Euro 2024 continues on Wednesday at 7:00 am when Croatia face Albania in Group B at 7:00 am, Germany  take on Hungary at 10:00 am in Group F, and  Scotland will tangle with Switzerland at 1:00 pm.
