By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Tropical Storm Sara remains nearly stationary, located about 160 miles southeast of Belize City, with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.

The storm is expected to shift west-northwest later today and approach the northern coast of Honduras before making landfall in Belize on Sunday.

Heavy rainfall, life-threatening flooding, and mudslides are forecast across parts of Central America.

Tropical storm conditions are already affecting Honduras and will spread to Guatemala, Belize, and parts of Mexico later today.

Sara is expected to weaken after landfall, with dissipation anticipated by Sunday night or Monday as it moves across the Yucatán Peninsula.

Residents in affected areas are urged to remain vigilant as the storm approaches.
