By Zoila Palma: Last night, premium fuel prices surged by 93 cents, pushing the cost to $15.46 per gallon in Belize City.
Leader of the Opposition Tracy Panton said, “Another Fuel Price Increase at the Pumps. When is enough, enough BELIZE?”
Earlier this week, motorists noticed that Regular fuel increased by $1.32 per gallon while Premium dropped by 8 cents, making Premium temporarily 30 cents cheaper than Regular.
That short-lived price gap ended at midnight, when the latest adjustment restored the traditional pricing order.
Premium fuel is now once again more expensive than Regular, selling at 63 cents higher per gallon.
