By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Tracy Panton has extended gratitude to supporters and the “new Chair, new secretary general, members of the leadership team, standard bearers and loyal supporters,” who joined to “reclaim the UDP headquarters.”
Panton said that they are prepared to face Shyne Barrow.
“I am fully aware that Shyne will not step down easily, but we are prepared to stand up to whatever he brings. With change often comes chaos, and we’ve been on a hard road that didn’t start today. The UDP has been bleeding for years, but true strength is forged through hardship. There will be challenging days ahead, yet this is a path I am committed to taking,” Panton expressed.
Panton says that she has the trustee’s authorization and the support of party members at the headquarters ensuring that it belongs to the UDP and not to any one individual.
“I can assure you, this journey will end in peace, because unity and democracy will prevail. Together, we will heal, rebuild, and emerge stronger than ever,” Panton said.
