By Zoila Palma: Today, Tracy Panton issued a statement denouncing “social media posts attempting to sow confusion and disunity within the United Democratic Party (UDP) are nothing more than desperate political propaganda intended to distract from the real issues facing the Belizean people.”
“Let it be made abundantly clear: there is no division within this Movement for Change. Those who continue to spread rumors and untruths are not acting in the best interest of the UDP or of Belize. Their only goal is to create discord and derail our collective efforts to unite, rebuild, restore the trust and confidence of the Belizean people,” Panton said.
Panton says that as Leader of the Opposition, and soon to be UDP Party Leader, her focus remains steadfast on strengthening their team, preparing for the UDP National Leadership Convention, and presenting a clear, credible alternative to governance.
“We will not be distracted: not by gossip; not by lies; not by political theatrics. The United Democratic Party is on the road to renewal, and we welcome every Belizean who believes in honesty, integrity, and service to join us on this journey,” Panton added.
