By Aaron Humes: A third Belize City man was shot early on Friday, as he was ferrying a group on Baymen Avenue in his vehicle.
27-year-old Shane Nolberto was driving a back Geo Prizm vehicle with a businessman from Plues Street Jervis Matthews, 30, and four females on Baymen Avenue toward Kelly Street around 3:20 a.m. Approaching the speed bump in front of GS-Com, they saw a white vehicle coming behind them. As Nolberto began crossing the bump, the white vehicle sped up and began to overtake them and several shots were heard.
The white vehicle sped off toward Cinderella Plaza and Nolberto turned and lost control of his vehicle, crashing into R&B Trends building located on Kelly Street.
Nolberto is stable at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital while the others were uninjured. Police investigations continue.
