By Aaron Humes: An accident on the Hummingbird Highway early Saturday morning resulted in the deaths of two men and left a third in critical condition. The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. at mile 21, where a motorcycle carrying three riders lost control and crashed into a guardrail.
The victims, identified as Maritso Cho, 32, and Heraldo Ack, 30, were pronounced dead at the scene. The third rider, Serial Lino, was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital for medical attention.
According to police reports, the trio was traveling from Middlesex to Dangriga when the collision occurred. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the motorcycle began to wobble moments before the driver lost control, causing all three men to be thrown into the roadway.
Investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident is still ongoing. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
