The Judicial Education Institute of the Senior Courts of Belize to Host Computer Skills Training for Administrative Staff

The Judicial Education Institute (JEI) of the Senior Courts of Belize is pleased to announce that it will host an in-person computer skills training program for the administrative staff of the Senior Courts of Belize from November 4th to 7th 2024.

The training will commence with an opening ceremony on November 4th, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. in the Main Courtroom, Treasury Lane, Belize City, Belize.

Hon. Chief Justice, Mde. Louise Esther Blenman, President of the Judicial Education Institute, will deliver remarks underscoring the importance of technological proficiency in the continued transformation of the justice system. Hon. Mr. Justice Derick Sylvester, Chair of the Judicial Education Institute, will deliver welcome remarks, as will the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) PACE Justice Project Representative, who are funding this essential training.

This initiative forms part of our JEI’s ongoing commitment to the professional development of all stakeholders in the justice system, by equipping them with the skills necessary for an effective and efficient justice system in Belize. The crucial training will focus on building digital competencies among participants. The Hon. Chief Justice Mde. Louise Esther Blenman and the Judicial Education Institute of the Senior Courts of Belize extend gratitude to the EU/UNDP PACE Justice Project for supporting this critical training.

This initiative is one of the many educational programs conducted by the Judicial Education Institute, reflecting the Senior Courts of Belize’s dedication to ongoing training for Senior Courts of Belize staff, and is in alignment with the Senior Courts of Belize Strategic Plan.
